The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region invites local students to visit its website to apply for a wide range of high school, college and professional continuing education scholarships. Application materials and guidelines for more than 40 scholarships are now available at www.cfgcr.org/scholarships.php. Most scholarship applications are due in early March.
In addition to scholarships for a wide variety of high school, college and professional education fields of study, the Community Foundation also partners with the Chamber of Schenectady County, the Niskayuna Community Foundation and the Bethlehem Central Community Foundation to provide scholarship opportunities for students in those communities.
In 2013, the Community Foundation awarded more than $300,000 in scholarships to more than 50 local students.
