The Beta Psi Scholarship Fund, a collaboration with the Beta Psi Foundation and Beta Psi Boule will offer Capital Region students who demonstrate exemplary character and outstanding achievement and are of African American or African descent, an opportunity to apply for a $1,000 scholarship award.
The Beta Psi Foundation, a 501(c )(3) organization, was established in 2011 by members of the Beta Psi Boule, the Capital District chapter of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, the first Greek letter fraternity to be founded by African-American men. The members of Beta Psi Boule and its Foundation include physicians, lawyers, engineers, professors, accountants, architects, educators, business owners, and state government managers. The Beta Psi Foundation’s mission is to assist academically gifted high school students who are under-represented in institutions of higher education by awarding college scholarships.
The competitive application process is currently open and will close on June 30, 2021 at midnight. Applicants will be notified by July 23, 2021.
