B’nai B’rith Gideon Foundation

The Community Foundation is proud to hold up the example and ideals of the founders of the B’nai B’rith Gideon Foundation who began working with the Community Foundation in 2016. B’nai B’rith Parkview Apartments was the vision of local Jewish leaders who understood the importance of providing safe, affordable rental housing for their community. The B’nai B’rith Gideon Foundation, a private charitable foundation, was created with the proceeds from the sale of their building. Since then, the B’nai B’rith Gideon Foundation has supported our community by addressing housing and supportive programming for seniors, those with disabilities, and low-income individuals and families. Through our partnership with the B’nai B’rith Gideon Foundation, the Community Foundation has helped to facilitate 233 impactful grants, supporting B’nai B’rith’s investment of more than $3.6 million across our region.

In December 2024, Harris Oberlander stepped down as CEO after leading Trinity Alliance for 20 years. His caring commitment to our region transformed Trinity from a small settlement house into an essential social services agency serving thousands. When families lack resources, the results can lead to deeper trouble. This is where Harris has stepped in to address food and housing insecurity, violence and addiction, and to support education and workforce development – providing the tools our community needs to thrive.

Migdalia (Micky) Jimenez

Throughout a 35-year career in healthcare, Migdalia “Micky” Jimenez has demonstrated a fervent passion to help others in their moments of greatest crisis. As a registered professional nurse (RN), Micky has dedicated her work to reducing health disparities amongst Latinos and other underserved groups by increasing access to linguistically appropriate health information and by promoting access to culturally appropriate health resources. Her passion serves as a guiding light and resource for our community.
